| Section 11 is a relatively comfortable but long and scenic walk. From Hill Top Lookout to Rocky Bar Gap there are superb views of Mount Sonder. Sunrise views of Mount Sonder from the Hill Top Lookout are just breathtaking. The steep ascent and descent parts of the trail to Hill Top Lookout have been constructed ( in 2013) exceptionally well making the climbs easier on the knees and ankles. |

 Getting to Finke River Trailhead |
 |
There is no public vehicle access to the Finke River Trailhead. Access to the trail is from either Glen Helen Resort or the Finke River Two Mile Camping area ( which can be accessed by 4WD only from Namatjira Drive). |

 Getting to Redbank Gorge Trailhead |

Approx 160 km west of Alice Springs. 2WD sealed access to Redbank Gorge turn off, via Namatjira Drive. Access to along Redbank Gorge Track is rough gravel.. Larapinta Trail walkers can camp at the Redbank campsite. For everyone else, camping is not permitted in the car park area. |
