| This is a long walk if you plan to do the
whole section in one hit, with a number of rocky and loose ascents and
descents, particularly from Waterfall Gorge to the Lookout. It is
however, one of the most impressive and scenic sections along the trail.
From the Lookout onwards there are excellent 360 degree views,
particularly impressive views of Mount Giles to the north and of the
West MacDonnell's to the south. |

Getting to Serpentine Chalet Dam Trailhead |
You can access Serpentine Chalet Bush Camp by 2WD but will need a 4WD drive to access the car park closer to the trailhead. From there its about 760m walk to the trailhead. More on Getting to Alice Springs  |
