This is the official start point of the Larapinta Trail. It is a long walk along undulating and open country. As far as scenery goes, the best parts are along Euro Ridge which provide excellent views of the surrounding Alice Springs area. Hat Hill Saddle is also quite scenic. The rest of the walk winds through and along creeks, gullies and contours along small features. Its a little boring and windy compared to the rest of the trail. So don't be disheartened. A good day walk though.
