The Jay Creek Trailhead (S2/S3) can be accessed by 4WD via the Tanami Road, north of Alice Springs. The total distance from Alice Springs to the Jay Creek Car Park Area is 76km. While the Tanami Road to the Jay Creek turn off is bitumen, a 4WD is required to access the Hamilton Downs Track which provides access to the Car Park. This is quite a scenic and pleasant drive.
